Biography

Haley Meyer is an emerging artist living and working in Toronto. Her work examines personal digital photographs that are deconstructed from their complex forms into understated renderings through oil painting and printmaking. Her work acts as a meditation that pulls subtle imagery from these photographs and associates them with physical sensations and emotions. These subjects are placed at the forefront of her work in order to create pieces that offer her stationary comfort in a fast-paced, ever-changing world.

Haley has exhibited work at Gerrard Art Space, John Aird Gallery, and Neilson Park Creative Centre. Her painting titled, Delusional July Heat is on exhibition until January 2025 at the 2024 Art a la Carte exhibition at the Ontario Legislative Building in Toronto, Ontario. She is pursuing a BFA in Drawing and Painting, with a minor in Printmaking and Publications at OCAD University.
